Jeremy Joan Hewes grew up in Maumee, Ohio. After earning degrees from Duke
University (B.A.) and the University of Michigan (M.A.) and completing the
Radcliffe Publishing Procedures Course, she worked as an editor and writer
for four decades. Between 1975 and 1995 she published seven books. In 2005 she
retired after 18 years as a writer for Apple Computer. Throughout her publishing
career, she pursued photography as an avocation.
In 2001 Jeremy Joan Hewes began exhibiting and selling her photographs. Her work
has been shown in numerous group shows in northern California. Her first one-person
exhibit took place at RiskPress Gallery in West Hollywood from April 530, 2006.
